Today, I am following up on the previous list of 13 Basic Animal Terms in Korean with the same terms in Japanese. This includes the names for ten basic animals, along with ‘animal’, ‘wing’, and ‘tail’. Most of the words include the written “Kanji” (based on very old Chinese root words) alongside the Hiragana characters and Romanization showing pronunciation.
The only word that seems to be written purely in Hiragana, with no Kanji written form, is ‘Tail’.
These are based on the list of the 625 most commonly used words along with the 1000 most common words (from which I picked up rabbit).
